I have over 15 years experience in Teaching, and over 11 years experience in Private Tutoring. I currently offer both face-to-face in person tutoring for 1:1 or small groups. I cater for each child's specific needs through appropriate differentiation, and according to their individual interests. I strive to make the learning fun and engaging, and adapt the lesson as we go to ensure the most enjoyment and motivation. My lessons are usually 1 hour long, depending on the needs and abilities of the child and I cover the ages from KS1 up to GCSE in both English and Maths. I also offer home schooling sessions to individuals who are unable to access the mainstream education system, whether it be from a SEND need, a preference or from anxiety, for example. These sessions cover the Core subjects as well as teaching Life Skills such as cooking, woodwork and sewing etc. In addition to this, I offer discrete tutoring for adults in Maths and English (Reading).

My teaching experience is based on my friends. I have not been practising it outside my inner circle, but there is always a place to grow. I have an IB diploma certificate that can prove my efficiency level in the English language and a certificate from a Ukrainian school supporting my high level of knowledge in my native language.

'My dyslexic daughter has been working with Sarah for the last 4 years. Sarah has changed her life. My daughter hated school and couldn't wait to leave. She was frustrated that her teachers didn't understand how to get the best out of her. She was really demotivated and it was affecting her mental health. Sarah immediately worked out she was bright and knew how to make her tick. Together they have laughed and cried until my daughter started to enjoy learning and look forward to seeing Sarah each week. Her grades started to improve and she sailed through GCSEs. Sarah has supported her, advocated for her at meetings at her school and become one of her chief cheerleaders. Sarah continues to support her through year 12 and my daughter has started to excel with her chosen subjects. 4 years on my daughter is considering which University to apply to and there is no talk of giving up school. If you have a dyslexic child who is struggling I would 100% recommend Sarah www.*** She is magic.'
Founded in 2015 SC Tuition is the premier tutoring agency in West Sussex. From our base we work with you either online or face to face to provide an inspirational, supportive and friendly academic service tailored specifically to your family's aspirations and needs. "Our daughter was predicted to fail her English Language GCSE at Foundation Level and was told to not to bother with English Literature. With Sarah’s support our daughter managed to not only pass both but to also go on to pass English Literature at higher level for The International Baccalaureate. Sarah is patient, supportive and a brilliant teacher. We feel very lucky to have found her. She had a wonderful rapport with our daughter and indeed the whole family." (Mrs A. Horsham)

My last post which has just ended was that of Headmistress of an international IB school in Italy. I am home now and offering English lessons in South Croydon area, available in person in the surrounding areas out to Sevenoaks, Westerham and anything in between. I can also provide online lessons if preferable. I also teach an intro to Business Basics along with Business English, so writing presentations, public speaking, speeches etc. So life skills essentially, however, my main focus is English in different curriculums having worked in many schools around the world, the last as I say of which I was Head of School.
I have specialised in English from middle school learners through IGCSE, GCE, A Level and IB MYP and DP English A Language and Literature. Also taught at Luiss University, Rome, business English and business to their graduates.
